Originally from Vancouver, Danielle Wilson moved to Toronto to pursue her M.F.A. in performance at York University. After completing her graduate degree, Danielle worked as an actor for over ten years in television and theatres across Canada and in the States. In 2002, she received a Chalmers Training Grant to pursue the Graduate Diploma in Voice Teaching at York University under the mentorship of David Smukler. Upon completion, she began to work as a voice, acting and dialect coach both privately and at various acting studios in Toronto as well as teaching part-time at York University. In 2006 she moved to St. Catharines to take up her current position at Brock University and in 2008 she co-founded Stolen Theatre Collective who’s first show, The Diaries of Adam and Eve, premiered in St. Catharines in April 2009. She is also the resident voice coach for Lyndesfarne Theatre and coached their production of Albertine in Five Times, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Danielle was also the voice and acting coach for DART’s production of Medea directed by her colleague Natalie Alvarez. Upcoming projects include directing DART’s Mainstage production of Sharon Polluck's Blood Relations in November.
