Sheila Cote-Meek has been appointed to the role of Special Advisor to the Provost on the Indigenous Engagement portfolio, effective February 2, 2026. This will be an interim appointment to provide stability and support to the Indigenous portfolio at Brock with its ongoing projects and initiatives during a period of transition while a search for a new Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement is underway.

Sheila Cote-Meek is a Professor in the Faculty of Education, and currently serves as Director of the Indigenous Educational Studies Programs. Professor Cote-Meek holds a PhD from OISE of the University of Toronto and a MBA and BScN from Laurentian University.
