Following on the generative discussion at the December 2025 meeting of Senate, the Provost’s Office is organizing an open session on Spring and Summer to continue the conversation. The open session has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 10 from 1 – 3pm in Sankey Chambers.

The open session will be structured around the same questions:
- Should we merge spring and summer sessions into one session?
- Would it make sense to align undergraduate spring and summer to the existing graduate trimester schedule?
- How much flexibility vs. standardization is desirable?
- What student experience goals should guide scheduling?
- Are innovations like modular or block teaching worth exploring?
