CONSULTATION: Review of course collection and scheduling practices

On November 13, the University announced that it was launching a review of its course collection and scheduling practices. The project is supported by assistance from KPMG, which will lead the consultation and data analysis processes in order to formulate recommendations.

The scope of the review encompasses the evaluation of existing policies, procedures, and technologies employed in course collection and scheduling. The review will include a consideration of leading practices at other Ontario universities and make recommendations on potential areas for improvement. The review is expected to be complete by May 2024.

The University is committed to actively seeking feedback and suggestions from the campus community, including academic units and faculty members, on how best to improve course collection and scheduling practices. Details of the various components of the consultation process are included below:

  • An online consultation portal for students, staff, faculty members and librarians to provide their thoughts and feedback on the University’s practices was launched in mid-November and will remain open until February 2, 2024
