Announcing the Advisory Committee on the Dean, Faculty of Education

Following the open call released on August 15, the University has formed an advisory committee under the Policy on the Appointment of Academic Administrators to advise on the appointment of a Dean, Faculty of Education. Professor Mary-Louise Vanderlee is currently serving in the role on an interim basis. The committee will include:

  • David Hutchison, Department of Educational Studies
  • Dolana Mogadime, Department of Educational Studies
  • Michael Savage, Department of Educational Studies
  • Kelli-an Lawrence, Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences
  • Xiaomei Li, GSA representative
  • Carleigh Charlton, BUSU representative
  • Ethna Bernat, staff representative
  • Stevey Moffat, Office of People and Culture (non-voting ex officio resource to the committee)
  • Janice Peacock, Office of the Provost and Vice President, Academic (non-voting ex officio resource to the committee)
  • Nicholas Dion, Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic (non-voting ex officio resource to the committee
  • Lynn Wells, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Committee Chair

The membership of the committee has also been circulated by email from the Provost’s Office to faculty members (via their Deans) and to BUSU and the GSA.
