Call for participants: Open consultation sessions for SAHP review

As announced on March 10, Brock’s Sexual Assault and Harassment Policy (SAHP) is currently under review. The University is looking for any feedback on the policy and its procedures from Brock students, staff, faculty members, and librarians.

The consultation process will run until May 13, 2022 and includes an online consultation portal, through which members of the University community can submit their feedback on the SAHP.

For those who prefer to submit comments on the policy in person, the University will be hosting open townhall-style focus groups. Separate sessions will be held for undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty members and librarians, and staff. Sessions will be capped at 10 participants each.

Those wishing to participate in these consultation sessions should submit their name to president@brocku.ca and identify as an undergraduate student, a graduate student, a faculty member or librarian, or a staff member. Submissions will be accepted until 5 PM on April 6.

In cases where community members belong to more than one of these groups, please identify with the group in whose focus group you would like to participate.

Focus groups will be scheduled following April 6, working to find times that accommodate as many individuals as possible.

These consultation sessions will focus on the policy and procedure documents. Participants are asked to come to the event having reviewed the policy and with feedback to provide on the document.

Any questions or comments about the policy review and consultation process can be sent to president@brocku.ca.
