Brock University will be hosting the 13th annual conference of the Canadian Association for Work and Labour Studies (CAWLS), to be held June 2-4, 2027.

This year’s theme is “Making History: Workers, Conflict, and Collective Action.” The deadline for submitting proposals is Dec. 11.

The conference will offer panels, workshops, social activities, and a labour history tour of Niagara. CAWLS is organizing the  proceedings in collaboration with the Canadian Committee on Labour History, with local involvement from Brock’s Department of Labour Studies and Department of history.
