Students can book time with a Wellness Navigator to talk about their experiences, set wellness goals, and be connected to the right resources on campus. Thanks to the McCall MacBain Foundation for its funding and support of the Wellness Navigator program.

Meet the Wellness Navigators

Dawn Kakiroko

Dawn Kakiroko (she/her)

Black Student Success Centre Wellness Navigator

Dawn Kakiroko (she/her) is a Brock University graduate from the Faculty of Social Sciences, holding a BA in Psychology. With a strong foundation in mental health and well-being, Dawn’s experience as a Residence Don for three years has equipped her to support students in their transition from high school to university. She believes that both her academic background and personal experiences will allow her to connect effectively with students and provide the support they need. Dawn is dedicated to helping students access the resources that best meet their needs. Students can book one-on-one appointments with her and will also have the opportunity to attend various wellness events throughout the year.

Heidi Madden

Heidi Madden (she/her)

Graduate Studies Wellness Navigator

Heidi Madden (she/her) holds a Joint Masters in Canadian/American Studies from Brock University and the State University of New York at Buffalo and a BA in History and North American Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Heidi has worked for over a decade in the field of student support with an emphasis on student experiences both in Canada and abroad. Building on her own time spent studying at multiple institutions and travelling internationally, along with her passion for student success, she provides guidance on how to navigate the world of graduate studies and academic progression through to completion.
