Please welcome Bailey O’Hagan, the new Wellness Navigator for the Faculty of Education. Bailey brings a strong commitment to supporting students’ well-being and success across all areas of student life.
The Wellness Navigator position is a new professional role at Brock University, funded by the McCall MacBain Foundation and supported by the Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre.
Wellness Navigators offer compassionate, non-judgmental, holistic, culturally responsive One-on-One support by helping students identify and overcome barriers they may experience by connecting them to the resources and support they need to thrive at Brock.
Part of a Wellness Navigator’s role also includes helping students build empowerment and advocacy skills and develop new strategies to support well-being aligned with their personal and mental health goals. It’s all about meeting students where they are and helping them along their journey as a student at Brock.
As our FOE Wellness Navigator, Bailey O’Hagan holds a BAH in Psychology from the University of Guelph, where she first gained experience in Student Wellness. Since then, she has worked at Brock University as a Health Promotion Educator in the Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre, building a solid foundation in health, well-being, and mental health support, with a deep understanding that every student’s journey is unique. Bailey is committed to helping students access the resources and support that best fit their needs.
Recognizing the challenges of student life, Bailey is here to guide and support students who may feel overwhelmed or unsure of where to turn. She is available for one-on-one appointments and will also be present at various wellness events within the FOE and on campus. Bailey looks forward to meeting and supporting students toward well-being and success.
