Transcripts

Launching February 7, 2022, Brock University’s Official transcripts will be issued through MyCreds, powered by Digitary. These digital credentials can be shared securely with post-secondary institutions, employers or other third parties. Please note that requesting the most current version of your transcript must be done via my.brocku.ca, which is then sent to MyCreds for accessing and sharing. MyCreds does not automatically refresh or maintain the most updated transcript.

Copies of student transcripts will be issued at the student’s request ONLY as they are confidential/legal documents. By ordering a document, you agree to allow Brock University to share your legal name, Student ID, email address, full academic record and official transcript with MyCreds.

Downloaded transcripts are not official as they are subject to tampering and their authenticity cannot be verified by the receiver.

In accordance with the University’s Policy on Access to Student Records along with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the student’s consent is required for the release of academic records. Unofficial transcripts cannot be issued. All transcripts will be issued electronically via MyCreds.

Starting February 23, 2022, new or updated documents need to have at least one share credit associated with the document before you can view and share the document. If your document does not have a share credit, please purchase one. This credit will stay with your document until you share it. You can continue to purchase additional share credits if required. If you have questions about this update, please contact central@brocku.ca

Starting January 1, 2023, transcripts will be $16.

Please note: A transcript will not be issued if any University account is outstanding. MyCreds updates accounts and transcripts requested between 2-4 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. for any new requests daily.

All transcripts must be ordered via the my.brocku.ca student portal.

Please go to your Student Self-Serve to log in using your Campus ID and password.

  • If you have forgotten your Campus ID and/or password, please click on the ‘Forgot your student password’ link
  • If you have never set up your Student Self-Serve portal, please click on the ‘Applicant, New, Returning Student or Alumni’ link
  • If you do not remember your Student ID Number, please contact Brock Central at central@brocku.ca

Once your account has been activated and/or you have logged in, please click on the Brock DB Menu. Under Student Access, click on TranscriptRqst. This will direct you to the online transcript request. Please ensure you take the time to fill out all of the steps, as the Office of the Registrar is not responsible for any requests that are completed incorrectly.

Via the MyCreds learner portal. Learners will be able to purchase “share” credits. Learners will only need to request the transcript once from Brock (or subsequently for the most current version to be sent to MyCreds) and can purchase as many share credits required while in the MyCreds learner portal.

All purchases made within MyCreds will require your residential address and your billing address associated with your payment card to meet Canada Revenue Agency requirements. Your billing address postal code must match the postal code associated with your bank’s payment card, otherwise your payment will be rejected.

$16 per e-transcript (1 Share Credit = $16)

Please note: A transcript will not be issued if any University account is outstanding. Incomplete orders cannot be processed.

Instead of paying a fee per paper transcript, with the e-Transcript you will purchase a specific number of Share Credits for that document. Each Share Credit will allow you to share the secure e-Transcript with one recipient, such as an employer or an educational institution. Additional share credits may be purchased via the MyCreds learner platform.

When you sign in to your MyCreds™️ portal, you will be presented with a list of all your documents. Click on the document you would like to open. If this is your first time opening a new document or updated document, you may see a Payment required notice. You must have at least one share credit associated with your document to view your document. If you see the Payment required notice, you must purchase at least one share credit. After at least one share credit is purchased, you can open and view your document at any time until it is updated, even after you use the share credit.

If you require access to your my.brocku.ca student portal, we can help you regain your access. To reactivate your Brock student portal, please visit: brocku.ca/information-technology/activate-account.

You may also contact Brock Central or the ITS Help Desk for help.

Using the MyCreds Learner Portal

Requesting a transcript will require users to log in to the MyCreds Learner portal.

Former Brock Students

Former Brock students can request a transcript when their Brock email is no longer active. When completing the transcript request via my.brocku.ca, you will be asked to provide a personal email address. This is the email address that will be used to allow you to register through MyCreds and how you will be notified when the credential is available.

If you already have a learner account with a different email (including a Brock email), you can link the new email address in the learner portal. Log in to your original account first.

Accessing the MyCreds Learner Portal

There are two ways to log in to the MyCreds Learner Portal

If you have the email notification you received from MyCreds when the document was issued, follow the link in the email notification and log in with your Brock username and password.

All MyCreds notifications for current students will be sent to your Brock email address.

If you are a former student or you no longer have an active Brock email account, the notification will be sent to the email address on your student profile. Please update the student profile page with personal email you prefer prior to requesting a transcript.

There are a few possible reasons for why you may not have received an email notification from MyCreds:

  • The email from MyCreds was lost or deleted from your inbox
  • Your document is not yet available due to outstanding funds or timing requests

You may also attempt to go to the MyCreds.ca sign-in page and select Brock University from the Institution drop-down menu if you already have an account.
