Brock’s Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI) is encouraging members of the University’s academic community to submit nominations for the 2021 Chancellor’s Chairs for Teaching Excellence.
With sponsorship from the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, the awards offer three recipients $5,000 per year for three years to pursue innovative projects in teaching, learning and/or educational technology.
Applications are due by Wednesday, March 31 and must include contact information for up to four references, a short abstract of the research proposal, details of the program and a recent teaching dossier.
Recent projects by recipients of the award include:
- Developing Indigenous-centred curriculum and pedagogy at Brock University,
- Teaching and learning Art History in a (primarily) Studio Department, and
- Stakeholder perspectives on the benefits and challenges of experiential education in Geography and Tourism Studies.
After the appointments become effective on July 1, Teaching Excellence Chairs will present project updates and findings at an upcoming Scholarship of Teaching and Learning event.
