Move-In day is a very exciting moment whether this is the first time you are leaving home or you have been a graduate student. We know you are already in planning mode. This information is provided to answer some of your move-in questions. More detailed information will be available two weeks prior Residence Move-In.
Residence students will be assigned a specific move in day and for major move-in days, a time slot.
January 2023 Move-in day is January 8, 2023.
The $300 application fee is required for Winter term arrivals.
New students moving into residence at the beginning of Winter term will be charged 50% of the fees listed here on the fees page. These fees are due by January 9, 2023.
You will receive your room assignment via your Brock Office 365 Outlook student email account. Make sure you set up your Brock email on your phone or email client so you will know when this information comes in or if we have any questions about your application. Learn more about when these room assignments will come out.
Your Brock Student Card is your access to the Brock Community and all of its partners. Your Brock Student Card has your meal plan and flex dollars on it, and will provide access to residence laundry room and service desk lobby.
As we prepare for your arrival onto campus, we’d like to introduce you to CloudCard, an online student card photo submission platform. Let’s get started!- click here to learn how to complete your Brock Card photo submission
We stress that bricks and mortar don’t make your stay in residence a memorable one. It’s the people with whom you will be living. Visit the residence building and amenity page for descriptions, picture galleries and 360 degree tours of each residence.
All Brock University Residence rooms are already fully furnished with a twin bed, a dresser, a desk and chair, closet or wardrobe, shelving, and garbage bins. Townhouse Style residences also have furnished living rooms and kitchens equipped with a sofa, a chair, tables, and eating area. If you’re thinking about bringing extra furnishings and/or appliances you MUST read our Allowable Appliances and Allowable Furnishings documents. Due to your room and unit being fully furnished there is limited space for extra furnishings and appliances, and anything that is brought in must be made of metal or plastic. Why? To help reduce fire safety hazards and potential pest problems. Everyone wants to be on the safe side!

You will need to bring your own linens for a single/twin-sized bed. Alternatively, the Department of Residences has partnered with Residence Linens to facilitate delivery of a linen package for your arrival. You will have to wait until you get your room assignment before ordering linens but it doesn’t mean you can’t start planning your decorating scheme. When ordering, ensure you select Brock University as your school and give your correct building and room number.
Many students choose to pre-order a rental refrigerator (and freezer for townhouses) so that they meet the residence guidelines for furnishings. This is not mandatory but to avoid disappointment make sure you review the allowable appliances guide. The Department of Residences has partnered with Coldex Rentals to help make your transition to living in residence more smoothly.
