Michelle Vosburgh, one of our instructors in the Centre for Canadian Studies, will give a public talk at the Pelham Historical Society. “A beginning but no end? The Debate over the Southern Terminus of the Welland Canal” will be held on September 20 from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Kirk on the Hill, 1344 Haist Street, Fonthill.
Michelle is an Archivist for the Port Colborne Historical and Marine Museum and she will provide a fascinating account of one of the myriad of sub-plots surrounding the building of the Welland Canal.
As well, the Pelham Historical Society celebrates their 50th anniversary which will be recognized at the event.
All welcome.
