To foster stronger collaboration and more effective leadership, the Town of Grimsby partnered with Goodman Group to implement a transformative development program for their most important asset:  their team members.   Focused on strengthening communication, collaboration, and team performance across departments, this hands-on training helped team members explore their personal working styles, identify blind spots, and better understand how their strengths contribute to a more cohesive workplace. Through self-assessments, interactive frameworks, and high-energy activities, participants gained practical strategies for navigating team dynamics and fostering trust—even in moments of pressure or change. 

“The instructor immediately captured everyone’s attention and kept them engaged from start to finish,” said Ryan Newton, Transportation Services Supervisor CRS. “These 4 sessions offered a powerful journey into Team Dynamics.  Each one building the skills and mindset needed to lead, support and elevate high-performing teams.” 

From the laughter sparked by shared insights to the candid conversations that opened new perspectives, this program wasn’t just about skill-building.  It was about connection. Group activities brought together participants who don’t typically work side by side, sparking new appreciation for colleagues across departments and deepening a sense of community. 

It reflects the Town of Grimsby’s deep commitment to creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and equipped to grow.
