Goodman Group’s NextGen Municipality Leadership program is proudly celebrating its 20th cohort this Fall. The program started out with a few participants and has now expanded to 20 cohorts across 16+ municipalities in Ontario, with an alumni network exceeding 375 individuals. This growth reflects the program’s profound impact and the dedication of its participants, advisory committee and instructors.  To mark this milestone, Goodman Group will present the Excellence Awards to recognize alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities.
 
Over the years, the NextGen program has evolved into a dynamic network, touching hundreds of lives and fostering leadership skills among municipal members. Goodman Group would like to commemorate this remarkable achievement and not only honor the program’s success but also recognize the unwavering commitment of those who have contributed to its ongoing excellence.

A highlight of the 20th cohort celebration will be the Excellence Awards, designed to recognize outstanding alumni who have made significant and lasting contributions to their communities. These awards are a symbol of resilient leadership and a testament to the program’s impact on shaping transformative leaders. Nominations will be gathered from participants and peers who have witnessed this positive change firsthand, and details on award categories and the nomination process will be shared soon.

As we celebrate this important milestone, we will also recognize the contributions of key stakeholders, including the advisory committee, whose guidance has been instrumental to the program’s ongoing development and success. The committee, comprised of experts from various municipalities, has played a vital role in shaping the curriculum to ensure it remains current, impactful, and aligned with the evolving needs of the municipal sector.

Reflecting on the journey that led us here, we look to the future with optimism. The NextGen Municipality Leadership program has not only achieved its goals but has also exceeded expectations, creating a legacy of leadership and community impact that will continue to inspire future cohorts.
