Our 4-year Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies with optional concentrations in Community, Outdoor or Therapeutic Recreation enables you to tailor your studies to your unique interests.  

Experiential learning across all four years will expose you to a variety of settings across sectors and provide significant career building and networking opportunities. Our passionate graduates can be found thriving in fulfilling careers around the globe across the field of leisure services. 

Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies

The Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies prepares students to be come professionals who deliver health, social, economic and environmental benefits through leisure services. Our general degree program enables students to take an interdisciplinary approach to their studies and access courses from across concentrations.

BRLS with Concentration in Therapeutic Recreation

Therapeutic Recreation is dedicated to ensuring all individuals, regardless of ability, have access to meaningful leisure in their lives. Graduates of this concentration are eligible for the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) exam.

BRLS with Concentration in Community Recreation

Community Recreation strives to ensure citizens have access to quality recreation programs and services. Students will develop transferable skills needed to work in public, private and non-profit settings including marketing, management, finance and strategic planning 

BRLS with Concentration in Outdoor Recreation

Outdoor Recreation focuses on leadership in the natural environment. Students will learn risk and resource management, leadership practices, outdoor education and skills to ensure inclusion in the outdoors.
