International Workshop

Advanced Nursing Leadership and Research Innovation

5-day international workshop for nursing and other healthcare professionals on advancements within the field of leadership and research innovation. The aim of this workshop is to strengthen nurses’ capacity to engage in opportunities that can improve healthcare practices and person-centered care, by exploring implementation science concepts, education approaches, models of practice, artificial intelligence and other technology advances. Examples from practice will also be presented such as areas of nursing informatics and organ donation and transplantation research.

August 17-21, 2026

The workshop will take place from Monday, August 17, 2026 to Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Federal University of São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil. It will also be available virtually via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.

Transcription will be available for those attending online.

  1. Examine the roles of nurses as leaders, researchers and educators in advancing healthcare practice across diverse global contexts
  2. Analyze various ethical and policy considerations influencing healthcare practices in specialty areas
  3. Consider the applications of artificial intelligence in nursing and healthcare practice
  4. Identify how principles of nursing research and implementation science can be used to identify and address gaps in healthcare
