Department of Nursing
A Nursing education is much more than facts, principles and concepts. At Brock, we believe learning and critical thinking are lifelong processes.
Nursing education involves:
- a commitment to nursing as a practice-based profession,
- the acknowledgement of knowledge gaps,
- And the nurturance of inquiry.
Teaching and learning is a collaborative process between our faculty and our students enacted in an environment where knowledge is shared, the student’s dignity, experiences, and values are respected, and a commitment to excellence exists.
Through self-directed, goal-directed learning endeavours, our students acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes that prepare them for professional nursing practice within the context of a changing health care system.
