Our Work
The CSC supported the Western Ontario Division (WOD) and the 2024 Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) National Host Committee with their communications for the Spring 2024 National Championships in Welland. This included designing the logo for the championships (see above) to support with marketing and enhancing the brand image of the event. This also included the website development for the event, which encompassed a content plan, alignment with branding standards, and various consultation meetings.
In partnership with the Niagara Parks Commission, the CSC conducted an event impact analysis at the Niagara Grand Slam of Curling, which involved asking spectators, vendors, and volunteers to complete a survey. The findings of the survey informed a report that we edited and designed, to help showcase the economic impact the event had on the Niagara region.
“As part of a multi-institutional evidence synthesis research team we valued the expertise and creative energies of the Brock University Centre for Sport Capacity. The Centre actively engaged in assisting our team with the development and creation of an infographic. This infographic as part of a scholarly scoping review depicted essential and emergent health literacy research themes. The Centre’s efforts in part resulted in the successful publishing of this manuscript in a reputable international scholarly journal. We valued the Centre’s expertise, willingness to work through several ideas, and their added value when meeting tight timelines, accessibility standards, attributed copyright and licensing requirements.
