As a collaborative consisting of faculty, students, and experts from the sport community, the Centre for Sport Capacity works to both understand and expand the capacity of sport organizations.
A key role of the Centre is Knowledge Mobilization, putting research-based evidence to work, and finding practical solutions to the challenges facing sport leaders.
For the Centre, Knowledge Mobilization is about bridging the gaps between formal academic research and practitioner’s needs in the field. We help put academic research into active use by working with partners in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Throughout our site, you will find that we don’t just think that Knowledge Mobilization is a guiding principle, but it is integrated into everything that we do.
Challenges Facing Sport Organizations
Just as the capacity for sport organizations varies, so do the challenges facing them. Through the expertise at the Centre we explore these challenges.
