The Centre for Sport Capacity Support Team is a group of dedicated volunteers who assist our Centre with marketing, communications, and events – all because they are passionate about sport! Amanda Nash
Program: Sport Management
Time at CSC: February 2023 – Present
Bio: My name is Amanda Nash, and I am in my second year of the Sport Management program at Brock University. I chose to come to Brock because of the environment and community it offers. My background in sports also impacted my decision to enroll in the SPMA program! Brock has truly been such an amazing experience so far as there are many opportunities that I have been a part of such as volunteering at the Centre for Sport Capacity. Partaking in events and tasks such as social media content creation, event planning, and volunteering throughout the community through events has provided me with extensive experience and knowledge throughout the sporting industry!

Charlie Bender
Program: Sport Management

Bio: Hi, my name is Charlie, and I am a first-year Sport Management student at Brock University. Choosing to pursue a degree in Sport Management was a natural fit for me – it’s the perfect intersection of my interests in sports and business.
As I fully believe in the power of education and that you never stop learning, I took it upon myself to seek out an opportunity to further my sport-industry learning outside of the classroom. In combination with its reputation for academic excellence, the Centre for Sport Capacity provides a dynamic learning environment to continuously mobilize knowledge. By joining the Centre for Sport Capacity, I am not only investing in my personal and professional development, but also aligning myself with a community of like-minded individuals who share my dedication to leveraging the power of sports for positive change. Daniel Belmonte
Program: Sport Management

Bio: Hi, I’m Daniel Belmonte, a second-year Sport Management student at Brock University. I chose Brock because of its vibrant community and the countless opportunities it offers both in and out of the classroom. My passion for sports—whether it’s through watching, playing or analyzing it—naturally led me to pursue this program and get involved with the Centre for Sport Capacity. Being a part of the CSC provides me with great hands-on opportunities to complement my academic studies and equip me with the skills and insights needed to thrive in the sports industry. I look forward to growing both personally and professionally through my continued work with the Centre for Sport Capacity, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!

Elliot Pruneau
Program: Sport Management

Bio: I am Elliot Pruneau, a first-year sport management student originally from our Nation’s Capital. Every day, I am working towards my career aspiration: to work in communications and media relations with a professional sports team. By joining the Centre for Sport Capacity, I hope to further my knowledge about the sports industry and apply my skills towards the CSC’s projects and initiatives. Additionally, the CSC presents a wonderful opportunity to enhance my abilities in research, social media management, photography, and event planning. I am thrilled to work alongside my colleagues on upcoming projects!

Bio: Hi, my name is Haylie Ross, and I’m a second-year Sport Management student at Brock University. I chose Brock because of the countless opportunities available to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry. Bio: Hello! My name is Izaak, and I’m a third-year Sport Management student at Brock University. I chose Brock for its outstanding reputation in Sport Management and the valuable opportunities it provides to engage with the sport industry. Sport has always been a central part of my life—whether I’m playing for fun, watching games with friends and family, or analyzing sport from an analytical perspective. It’s more than a passion for me; it’s part of who I am. I joined the Centre for Sport Capacity to make a positive impact in the community, build meaningful connections, and strengthen the skills I’ll need for a successful future in sport. Kyle Crowe

Bio: My name is Kyle Crowe, and I am a 3rd year Sport Management student who is looking to gain further experience in the sports industry with the help from the Centre for Sport Capacity. Bio: Hello everyone! My name is Lucas Candelino, and I’m a second-year Sport Management student at Brock University. Sports have always been a driving force in my life, fuelling my desire to explore new opportunities to learn and make a meaningful impact in this dynamic industry. I believe deeply in the value of continuous learning, which is why I’ve chosen to join the Brock Centre for Sport Capacity. I am eager to expand my knowledge of the sports industry and apply my skills to support the Centre’s projects and initiatives. Tochukwu Daniel
Program: Medical Science

Bio: Hey everyone! My name is Tochukwu Daniel and I’m a second-year Bachelor of Medical Science student. I’m really into researching, sports writing, social media, and entertainment. That’s why I’m super excited to be a part of the Centre for Sport Capacity. The Centre has given me the chance to pursue my passions and try out new things. The coordinators and intern assistants are awesome and always ready to help me out. I feel like I’m growing and learning so much thanks to them. I’m part of the Support Team, and I can’t wait to work with some of the applied health sciences professors at Brock University. We’re going to be doing some cool research together. I’m also looking forward to leading some big projects, like creating a weekly newsletter for students on campus. Thanks for letting me be a part of the Centre for Sport Capacity.
