In a heartwarming development, Goodman Group’s commitment to fostering professional growth and development among the Brock University community has borne fruit. Goodman Group donated a gift certificate worth up to $3500 during Brock Wellness Day back in June this year. The gift certificate provided the opportunity for the recipient to enroll in a Goodman Group program of their choice. We are thrilled to announce that the recipient of this gift certificate is Sabrina Blaylock, an employee of the Campus Store and she has successfully enrolled in the upcoming Project Management Fundamental Certificate Program starting this Fall.
Expressing her excitement, Sabrina Blaylock commented “I am always looking to further my career and build on my skill set, so when I saw that Goodman offered a Project Management Fundamentals program, I felt it was a perfect complement to my growth and experience. In my current role, I am constantly managing projects and meeting deadlines, so I’m looking forward to utilizing the processes and tactics from this course in my everyday work. No matter what the career, project management is something you can use wherever you go, and at home too. As a Business graduate from Brock University, and now an employee, it feels good to be back in the classroom and to continuously be supported by Brock University in my career goals and aspirations. Thank you, Goodman Group, for this opportunity!”
“We are delighted to see one of our own Brock staff members seize the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge through one of our programs. It’s a testament to our commitment to supporting the growth and development of our internal community. The Project Management Fundamentals Certificate program is about to start, and we’re getting ready to deliver an enriching learning experience.”, said Yennis Camargo, Goodman Group’s Manager of Professional and Executive Development.
The gift certificate from Goodman Group was presented during Brock Wellness Day in June this year, a full-day event that allows Brock faculty and staff to participate in workshops, hear from engaging speakers, and socialize among colleagues. All proceeds from the Penny Sale were donated to a non-endowed student scholarship(s) in the name of Wellness. This scholarship was awarded to the student recipient(s) for the upcoming academic year and contributes to the spirit of giving back to the Brock University community.
