Who would have thought finance could be fun?
Our first-ever cohort of leaders in the Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers program, delivered by Goodman Group, has just completed a transformative journey that made financial skills not only accessible but enjoyable. Created in collaboration with award-winning faculty from the Goodman School of Business, this program equips leaders with essential financial insights to enhance their decision-making impact.
Designed for leaders without a formal finance background, the program covers a full spectrum of financial foundations: from interpreting financial statements and budget development to applied budgeting and capital management. Led by Dr. Jennifer Li, with expert support from Abdul Rahimi, each session incorporated hands-on exercises, real-world scenarios, and a computer-based simulation. This practical approach enabled participants to transform complex financial concepts into actionable skills they could apply directly to their roles. As one participant remarked about the simulation, it “was a fun project. I’d like to add, it was a great class—way beyond my expectations.”
Goodman Group is proud to have supported this cohort’s journey in building financial acumen, empowering them to make strategic, data-driven decisions that will propel their organizations forward.
Congratulations to our graduates! We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make.
