The Brock Learning Lab’s educational team has curated online resources for parents to use at home with their children.

When using any online resources users should always consider privacy and digital citizenship and be cautious of providing personal information online.The grade levels are suggested based on a variety of criteria, however, we encourage parents to explore the app first before using it with their child. Most of the resources are free or have available free features, however it is up to the individual owner of the resources to modify their access without notice. Learning sight words allows a child to recognize these words at a glance — on sight — without needing to break the words down into their individual letters. Description: Starfall is an online math, language arts, and music resource for students from kindergarten to grade 3. Starfall emphasizes students exploring, playing, and receiving positive reinforcement which increases students confidence and intrinsic motivation. Description: Engage in a variety of games to enhance and practice students math, language, and typing skills! This website offers a variety of games to practice skills such as spelling, sight words, math concepts, and typing.
Math CEMC Visit website Focus: Problem Solving. Description: The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) courseware materials feature lessons, interactive activities, enrichment challenges, and unlimited opportunity for practice with feedback. The courseware is online, free to use, and does not require registration. This is a great way for students who are not in class to continue learning.
