Nowhere is the passion of caring for individuals, families and communities, stronger than in the nursing profession.
At Brock, our Nursing faculty, along with our academic, community and clinical partners strive to undertake research for the continued betterment of society.
Together, we are responding to the changing health needs of individuals, organizations, communities and health care systems in Niagara, Ontario, Canada and globally.
Our research is informed by the principles of primary health care (PHC) and philosophical underpinnings which include holism, humanism, existentialism, phenomenology, and critical social theory.
Our research is innovative, ethical, compassionate and caring.
Some of the areas we investigate include:
- Disease prevention
- Dementia care
- Patient safety
- Miscarriage and breastfeeding
- Improving patient health outcomes
- Mobile health technology interventions
- Interprofessional education, and more.
