Important Information
How to apply
Please review our website to learn more about the various application types. If you are unsure of which application to use, or if you are a current or returning Brock student, email [email protected] for guidance on applying. You must report ALL secondary and post-secondary academic studies on your application, regardless of length, type, or location of studies. Application fees are non-refundable.
One offer policy
If admissible, Brock will only provide you with an offer to one program. When applying, list your top choice program first and others in order of preference after that. Offers may change over the course of the school year based on receipt of your most recent grades. If you are considering a program reorder or change, email [email protected] for instructions.
Minimum credentials
In addition to a minimum academic credential required for admission consideration (international credentials, post-secondary credentials), applicants must also meet all program-specific admission criteria to be considered for their preferred program. The chart below outlines these requirements. These grade requirements represent the competitive admission average and should be used as a guide. Applicants who do not meet program admission criteria (prerequisite/required subjects and admission average) will automatically be considered for an alternate program, where possible. Achieving the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Prerequisite (required subject) requirements
For any secondary school student applying from outside of Ontario, Senior-level Required Subjects (prerequisites) noted in the chart below are those taken at the Grade 12 university-preparatory level and are the highest level of secondary studies available in your final year of secondary school. You may be required to provide course outlines.
For applicants who have attended an approved post-secondary program, post-secondary courses may, in some cases, be considered to satisfy prerequisite requirements. Additional documentation may be requested from you to assess your post-secondary studies for potential equivalency to the prerequisite.
Grading scales
Grading varies around the world, as well as among secondary schools, universities, colleges, and by curriculum studied. For this reason, all incoming grades are converted into equivalent Brock University grades and admissibility is determined using this approach.
Application deadline – January 15, 2026
Apply early! Programs may remain on the application after the deadline, however due to the competitive nature and capacity limits of many programs, applying by the deadline and submitting all documents early is strongly recommended. Should you apply after the deadline and your desired program has reached capacity, we may offer you admission to an alternate program. If program capacity permits later, we will reconsider you.
Submit your documents to complete your application
For all students NOT currently studying at an Ontario Secondary School, your application will only be reviewed if accompanied by the required documents/transcripts listed as owing on your Brock Student Portal. We will provide you with instructions on setting up your student portal after you apply. Submit your documents early to be considered for an offer. Some programs are more competitive and fill quickly. Some programs require an additional submission such as a Statement of Interest or a Portfolio. Please submit them prior to the deadline to be considered.
Check your email and student portal regularly
After you apply, we’ll be in regular contact with you. These communications are important. Please check your personal email, your Brock student portal, and your OUAC portal (if applicable) often.
Applicant types
International secondary school Students
Applicants must present the credential required for entry to degree-level study in their home province/country. Please review the minimum international credentials required. Prerequisites must be met at the Grade 12 university-preparatory level/the highest level available through your final year of secondary school studies.

Transfer Credit
Brock may recognize previous academic studies by awarding transfer credit. Some programs do not permit transfer credit, some have limits to the number of transfer credits that can be awarded, and some transferring courses require minimum grades to be considered for transfer credit. Learn more about our transfer credit policies and any specific transfer credit limitations. Transfer credit will not be awarded for unreported studies. In addition, students admitted as a Mature student, an Open Studies student, or through the Fresh Start pathway are not eligible for transfer credit.
How to read the admission criteria chart
Brock University will assess your application based on your most recent academic studies, but all academic activity must be reported and will be reviewed. If you are coming directly from secondary school, use the secondary school column as a guide. If you have post-secondary studies, review the column that represents your most recent studies. You may not decide which studies you wish to be assessed on. Admissions will make this decision once all academic history is reported and all transcripts for those studies are submitted. If you are unsure of your applicant type, please email [email protected].
What is a senior level Required Subject?
These are prerequisite subjects which must have been successfully completed at the Grade 12 university-preparatory level and are the highest level of secondary studies available in your final year of secondary school. Admissions is unable to accept substitutions from an earlier grade level. You may be required to provide course outlines.
Admission criteria by program
