Certificate Programs

Brock offers a variety of Certificate programs that provide learners with recognition of knowledge in a specific topic area of focus. For-credit Certificate programs are composed of courses that may be used towards a degree program. Non-credit Certificate programs are composed of courses that do not usually offer degree-level credit.

New applicants can apply to for-credit Certificate programs using the applications and information outlined in the Applications chart below. New applicants can also apply to both for-credit and non-credit Certificate programs through the Professional and Continuing Studies website for their program of interest.

Current Brock students and applicants who were previously registered at Brock and are interested in applying to a for-credit Certificate program must contact the Admissions office, by emailing admissions@brocku.ca, for the appropriate application form.  This includes students who have:

  • studied at Brock on a Letter of Permission
  • registered in courses previously but dropped them and never actually attended classes
  • registered and attended classes (even if part-time or Audit), and wish to return to Brock

Micro-Certificate and Micro-Credential Programs

Brock offers a variety of Micro-Certificates and Micro-Credentials that are short in duration and focus on a specific topic for those who want to quickly upskill. For-credit Micro-Certificate and Micro-Credential programs are composed of courses that may be used towards a degree program. Non-credit Micro-Certificate and Micro-Credential programs are composed of courses that do not usually offer degree-level credit.

New applicants can apply to for-credit Micro-Certificates by completing the Open Studies application available in the Applications chart below, followed by completing the Micro-Certificate Declaration Form. New applicants can also apply to both for-credit and non-credit Micro-Certificate and Micro-Credential programs by following the steps outlined on the Professional and Continuing Studies website for their program of interest.
