Initial Consecutive Teacher Education

A “consecutive” program provides professional education to candidates who have already completed a university degree.

Concurrent Teacher Education

For candidates enrolling directly from secondary school or college/university transfers; a “concurrent” program combines a first undergraduate degree and professional education into one extended program of study.

Technological Teacher Education

The January 2018 Technological Teacher Education option will be not be available for application. The expectation is that the program will be offered in January 2019. Please refer to the Faculty of Education website for future updates.

Continuing Teacher Education (Additional Qualification)

For already certified teachers; Additional Qualification (AQ) courses can qualify you to teach in another division/subject area and help you improve your current teaching skills.

Adult Education

Adult Education programs designed for those working or aspiring to work with adult learners in a variety of settings.

Aboriginal Education

Programs which incorporate Aboriginal learning preferences and cultural diversity.

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours)

A comprehensive and critical understanding of the issues and trends in early care and education for children from birth to 8 years.

Masters Preparation Certificate in Education (MPCE)

A post-undergraduate certificate that prepares students for the rigors of graduate study in the field of Education.
