Undergraduate Application Process

Previous Applicants/Returning Brock Students

Applicants who were previously registered at Brock may not need to reapply. Please contact the Admissions office at [email protected] first, for instructions on applying or re-registering for classes. This includes students who have:

  • studied at Brock on a Letter of Permission
  • registered in courses previously but dropped them and never actually attended classes
  • registered and attended classes (even if part-time or Audit), and wish to return to Brock
  • graduated from Brock and interested in a Brock Second Degree
  • For Brock graduates interested in Upgrading, please email [email protected]

Exception: Applicants applying to the BSc Nursing program who are current Brock students or graduates must apply on either the OUAC Application (applying to multiple schools) or the Brock Application (applying to Brock only — see table below).

New Undergraduate Applicants

Step 1 – Explore Brock Undergraduate Degrees and Certificates
Visit the program website to start exploring undergraduate degrees and certificates. To learn more about Graduate StudiesConsecutive Teacher Education, or Technological Teacher Education, visit their website.

Step 2 – Review Admission Criteria
Visit the admission criteria website to determine the requirements by program. For a broader review of academic information, campus life, and admissions information, explore our viewbook!

Step 3 – Complete Your Application
Select the appropriate application below. If you are unsure of which application to use, please contact Student Recruitment.  Start planning for any documents/transcripts you may need to send us. Please note that all academic and academic-related documents received become the property of Brock University.  The university will not return documents, nor will it provide photocopies.

Step 4 – Track Your Application
After you apply, you will receive an email from Brock with information on how to set up your my.brocku.ca student portal. Track your application updates there and on your OUAC portal, if you applied there. We will contact you if we require additional documents or we will request them from you on your my.brocku.ca student portal. Check your personal and Brock email regularly. Don’t forget to check your junk/spam folder! Stay connected, as we may require time-sensitive action on your part.

Step 5 – Accept Your Offer
Accept your offer and learn more about your next steps. Your offer will include deadlines to accept your offer as well as other important details. Read every page of your offer and connect with Student Recruitment if you have any questions during the admissions process.

About Application Deadlines

Deadlines are provided in the tables below. Programs may remain on the application after the deadline, however due to the competitive nature and capacity limits of many programs, applying by the deadline is strongly recommended. If a program reaches capacity after the January 15, 2026 application deadline, we may offer you admission to an alternate program. If program capacity permits, we will reassess you for admission.

Submitting your documents (for all students NOT studying at an Ontario Secondary School)

Your application will only be reviewed if accompanied by the required documents/transcripts listed as owing in the Document Status section of your my.brocku.ca student portal. Submit them early to be considered for an offer.

Final, official documents will be required to complete your file. These are documents you must arrange to have sent to Brock directly from the institution(s) you studied at prior to Brock. They cannot be in your possession. In most cases, we can begin assessing your application using unofficial documents, but official documents will eventually be required. If you have completed studies at the time of application to Brock, order your final, official documents right away.

Learn more about what OFFICIAL and UNOFFICIAL documents are and how to submit them. If you need to upload something else to your Brock Student Portal and there is no space available, email [email protected] and we will provide you a place on your Portal to upload them.

Please note that all academic and academic-related documents received become the property of Brock University.  The university will not return documents, nor will it provide photocopies.

Important Information

An incomplete application will expire in two weeks after first activated. If you cannot complete the application immediately, an email will be sent with a link allowing you future access to the application.

Email is the primary communication tool between Admissions and the student. If you have not received a “Thank You” email from us within two business days of applying, there may be a problem with your email address. Here are some common problems:

  1. You have an email address that ends in qq.com. The qq.com server is rejecting Brock emails. We advise that you contact [email protected] with a different email address. If you have applied through OUAC, add a different address using your OUAC account.
  2. Your mailbox could be full.
  3. You have a new email address and haven’t told us. Contact [email protected] with your new email address. If you have applied through OUAC, add a new email address using your OUAC account.
  4. Add Brock to your friends/safe list (see below).

In order to avoid problems after submitting your application, please add the brocku.ca domain to your safe senders email list and check your junk/spam email regularly. Ensure your junk/spam folder is not set to automatically delete messages.

HOTMAIL/OUTLOOK USERS:

Please add us to your safe senders list using these directions:

  1. Log into Hotmail.
  2. In the top right of your inbox, click on the settings icon wheel.
  3. Under Junk Email, click Safe and Blocked Senders or Safe Senders.
  4. Type in [email protected], in the Sender or domain to mark as safe entry field.

GMAIL USERS:

Gmail accounts have been redesigned to automatically filter communications from large institutions like Brock University and categorize them as Promotions. By creating a filter for emails from brocku.ca, you will ensure that all correspondence with our office is delivered to your primary inbox. Please add brocku.ca to your safe sender list in Gmail by following these instructions:

  1. Log into Gmail.
  2. Click on the settings icon (top right of screen – it looks like a gear).
  3. Choose Settings from the list.
  4. Click Filters at the top of the page.
  5. Click Create a new filter.
  6. Type brocku.ca in the From box in the next window.
  7. Click Create filter with this search at the bottom of the page.
  8. Click Never send it to Spam and Always mark it as important.
  9. Click Create filter button.
