More information and resources
Hopefully, all the information you needed was above, but just in case, here are a few more things that may help you along the way.
audit (o-dit) v. to attend a course without working for or expecting to receive formal credit. (Merriam-Webster Online, 2003)
Students admitted to the university may audit a course provided that space is available. After the first day of classes, students wishing to audit a course must have their request authorized by the course instructor on an Add/Withdrawal form. Completed forms must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar (Third floor of the Schmon Tower). After a student has registered as an auditor in a course, information on the applicable fees and payment information will be available on the Student Self Serve menu of the Student Portal at my.brocku.ca. If you do not have a my.brocku.ca student account (e.g. you have never attended Brock University), your Statement of Account will be mailed to your address with payment information.
Course Audit Fee
The charge for auditing a course is 50 percent of the normal course fee or the withdrawal charge at the time of the change to audit status, whichever is greater.
Changes to credit status
A request to change from audit to degree credit status must be received by the Office of the Registrar no later than the last day to add a course (of that duration) in the term. Students must satisfy all academic and prerequisite requirements.
A request to change from degree credit to audit status must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar no later than the last day to withdraw from a course (of that duration) without academic penalty for that course duration. Please consult the information on Course Withdrawals.
