Auditions for Brock University Choirs begin in August

MEDIA RELEASE: 10 July 2019 – R00111

Brock University’s Department of Music is searching for new voices to join its established choirs.

While Brock University’s Chamber Choir is open by audition to all Brock students, staff and faculty, its Women’s Choir is also open to members of the broader Niagara community.

The choirs will once again be led by Conductor Rachel Rensink-Hoff and auditions will begin in August. Previous singing experience and the ability to read music is required.

All singers accepted into the choir are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances throughout the year.

Rehearsals begin the week of Sept. 10 in preparation for concerts throughout the year.

The Chamber Choir rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4:20 p.m. and the Women’s Choir rehearses Thursdays from 6 to 8:45 p.m.

Visit the Department of Music’s website to register for an audition time or to learn more about Brock’s choirs.
