What you’ll learn studying Senior: Geography ABQ:
- The course is intended to explore and enhance professional practice, program planning and leadership within the Senior Division
- This course will also extend professional knowledge, skills and pedagogies within this specific area of study and explore the theoretical foundations associated with supporting the adolescent learner
- The course employs a critical, pedagogical lens to explore in a holistic and integrated manner theoretical foundations, learning theory
- Students examine program planning, development and implementation, instructional design and practices, assessment and evaluation
- The course also examines concepts related to a positive learning environment, research, and ethical considerations related to teaching and learning within and across the divisions
- Through these explorations, candidates strengthen professional efficacy by gaining in-depth knowledge, refining professional judgment and generating new knowledge for practice

- OCT MEMBERSHIP confirming you are an OCT member with an undergraduate degree.

Your transcript(s) must show: The equivalent of 3.0 full undergraduate/graduate credits in geography or the equivalent of 2.0 full undergraduate/graduate credits if you already hold another senior qualification. *Of the required credits, a half credit must be Canadian Geography.
To successfully complete your program, you will complete all components of the program. Your progress will be continuously evaluated using a variety of formative and/or summative assessments to receive a final mark. Information about these assessment methods will be provided in the Learning Management System on the first day of the program.

For ASY- Asynchronous Online delivery of this course, the course will have a set start and finish date, along with set due dates for assignments and assessments. This does not require real-time communications. However, instructors may arrange optional real-time online group discussions during your course.
