Our location and facilities

Brock University is in St. Catharines, Ontario, which is within an hour’s drive of Toronto, Hamilton, and Buffalo, N.Y.

Our campus is interconnected with the feel of a small community. We sit atop the Niagara Escarpment in a park-like setting that is part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Our 500-acre site is surrounded by a hardwood forest, hiking trails, a campfire area, a high ropes and challenge course, and lots of open field space for activities and recreation. Our buildings have hundreds of auditoriums and classrooms as well as a variety of laboratories, and small multipurpose locations.

The Youth University office is located in Walker Complex 216. Between the pool gallery and Walker Complex Welcome Desk.

Rock Climbing and High Ropes Challenge Course

Youth University is home to a ten route Outdoor Rock Climbing Tower and a 10 element High Ropes Challenge Course with two wheelchair accessible elements. We pride ourselves on being leaders in the adventure and risk management industry. Our course is pre-use inspected each day and inspected by a third party accredited agency annually. Although our trained ropes course facilitators will encourage campers to question their perceptions of what they believe they can accomplish, we would never push them too far where learning is replaced by fear. We encourage everyone to find a challenge that is right for them.
