Event entrance fees

Thank you for your BURA membership support. Membership dues help provide members with a range of benefits, including BURA events (venues, meals, speakers, entertainment) which are often subsidized partially or fully through membership dues.

It is preferable for members to pre-pay for their entry to BURA events whenever possible. Pre-payment reduces wait times, congestion at the door of events and subsequent delays to food service or the start of presentations.

Also, while we understand that circumstances arise where members and guests find themselves unable to attend events, it is important to remember that caterers must be informed about final attendee numbers at least one week ahead of the event.

The meal costs for individuals who are no-shows must then be paid for out of general BURA funds. This practice is unfortunate and impacts on our ability to offer quality programming of entertainment and speakers.

Of course, payment will always be accepted at the door unless noted otherwise.

Three Accepted Methods Of Payment For Event Entrance*

  1. By e-transfer to BURA via buratreasurer@gmail.com and if a password is required, kindly e-mail it in a separate message again to buratreasurer@gmail.com. Please clearly note in the comments section of the e-transfer who and what the payment is for.
  2. By cheque payable to BURA and mailed to:

  3. Cash payment

*BURA cannot accept credit card payments.
