MEDIA ADVISORY– JULY 22, 2025 – R0084
Brock University and Bridges Niagara will come together this week to celebrate their long-standing partnership and mark the next step forward in their efforts to improve equity and inclusion in the region.
Formerly known as the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre, Bridges Niagara will join Brock in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to reaffirm their partnership on Friday, July 25 at 2 p.m. at Robertson Hall in St. Catharines.
This renewed agreement builds on the University’s 2019 MOU with Bridges, an organization dedicated to supporting Niagara’s ethnocultural and newcomer community through a broad range of programs and services.
During Friday’s event, leaders from both organizations will share insight into current collaborations and their impact on the cultural, social and economic inclusion and well-being of immigrants and newcomers.
They will discuss transdisciplinary projects underway and on the horizon that strive to address localized newcomer challenges and larger issues of equity, diversity and inclusion through academic and community-based approaches.
Media are invited to attend.
