More than $65,000 was raised for Brock University student athlete scholarships at the 14th annual President’s Golf Tournament Thursday.

The event, held at Legends on the Niagara Golf Course in Niagara Falls, is one of the University’s biggest annual fundraisers and has raised more than $1 million for student athlete bursaries over the years.

“The University is extremely grateful for the ongoing support of the golfers and participants in the President’s Golf Tournament," Brock President Jack Lightstone said.

An extra $30,000 donation was made this year by Doug Smith, Chair of Wise Guys Charity Fund, which is giving the money to purchase a new rowing shell for the Brock Badgers women’s rowing team.
