Brock awarding Principal’s Scholarships to Niagara high school students

For the second year in a row, Brock University is handing out dozens of scholarships to Niagara high school students.

The Principal’s Scholarships program, which was launched by Brock last year, will see entrance scholarships of $2,500 being presented to two students from nearly every public, Catholic and private secondary school in the Niagara region.

In all, 58 scholarships worth a total of $145,000 are being awarded as a way to give back to the Niagara community and open the doors to post-secondary education for youths.

Members of the media are invited to attend one of two presentations planned for Monday when Brock President Jack Lightstone will join Brock Badgers mascot Boomer at local high schools to hand out scholarship packages.

Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School – 9:10 a.m.
Governor Simcoe Secondary School – 10:15 a.m.
