Next steps for IELP/Conditional students

Wondering what to do after you have applied to Brock and received a conditional offer of admission? Click through these steps:

Step 1

Accept your offer of admission

Please click here to login into your my.brocku.ca portal and accept your offer one month before the session start date.

If you are having difficulty accepting our offer, please email eslbrock@brocku.ca.

Accept your offer of admission.

Step 2

Login and monitor your Brock student portal

Be sure to login to your student portal and check your document status. Please submit any outstanding documents before starting your ESL session.

Use your Campus ID to access my.brocku.ca. Your Campus ID is in the acknowledgement email that was sent previously.

Step 3

Apply for a study permit

Once you have received your official letter of acceptance, you should begin procedures to obtain your study permit. You must apply for a study permit from the appropriate Canadian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate. Citizens of the United States may be able to obtain a study permit at the border when they enter Canada.

In addition to a study permit, citizens of certain countries require a temporary resident visa to enter Canada. To find out whether you require an entry visa, please refer to: Learn more about temporary resident visas

If you still have questions, contact eslbrock@brocku.ca. You can also connect with ESL Services on Facebook and Twitter, as well as download the IELP Student Handbook.

Step 4

Submit your English Language Proficiency Test Score

If you have an English Language Proficiency Test Score, you will need to upload it to your my.brocku.ca portal prior to writing the Brock University placement test. By submitting your test score to Brock, you will benefit from knowing which IELP level you will enter. In addition, if you meet our English Language Proficiency Requirements, you will also have the opportunity to be considered for direct entry into our undergraduate programs.
