Advance your English language skills and prepare for your future academic studies at Brock with our Intensive English Language Program (IELP).
Whether you have been conditionally accepted to Brock University for undergraduate or graduate studies or you are looking to improve your English language skills, enrolling in IELP is a great way to strengthen your abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Provides academic preparation for university entrance
- Beginner to advanced courses, with entrance test to evaluate skill level
- Duration = 8 weeks
- Duration of class = 25 hours / week (includes lessons and guided self-study)

Completion of this program’s highest level (Level 5), satisfies the English language requirement for Brock’s undergraduate and graduate programs that require English Proficiency Test Scores of IELTS (6.5) or TOEFL (88) or equivalent.
If you fail one of your courses (below 75%) and therefore fail your current level, you may take an intensive augmented version of this level. For example, if you failed Level 3, you would take Augmented Level 3. The augmented courses use a different textbook and concentrate on improving those skills that you had difficulty with. Augmented courses have a tuition cost of $3,500 CAD, in addition to the regular ancillary and applicable students fees. These courses are also limited to a maximum of 12 students.

All IELP applications require a $250 deposit and $25 application fee due at the time of application and are non-refundable.
