Beyond the Classroom
Afternoons take students out of the classroom and into the field. The program includes visits to Brock’s Anatomy Lab and Nursing Simulation Lab, a tour of a local rehabilitation hospital, and time at the Bfit Centre at Canada Games Park. Guest sessions are led by professionals from the region, including a paramedic, a physiotherapist, and a representative of the Alzheimer Society of Niagara. Students also meet with Brock nursing faculty and take part in a fitness and healthy habits workshop.
The program runs alongside a cultural and social program featuring a day trip to Niagara Falls, a hike at the Glenridge Quarry Naturalization Site, campus activities, and a visit to Brock’s Makerspace.

Capstone Project
Students work throughout the three weeks on a group project, presenting their work as a poster at a Health Fair on the final day. It gives them a chance to use the language they have built in front of a live audience. The program closes with a certificate ceremony.
