We coordinate exam accommodations for registered students, working closely with instructors to ensure the exam process is both accessible and upholds integrity.

Exam accommodations are tailored to meet individual needs based on the functional limitations described in your supporting documentation.

Accommodations for in-class tests and exams:

7 days before exam date

The deadline to register with SAS for April exam accommodations is:

March 3rd, 2026

Confirm to write in-person April exams in the Exam Centre by:

March 10th, 2026 

Exam process

1. Confirm

Confirm your in-person exams in OASIS prior to the deadline to inform us about your need for accommodation.

Do not confirm online exams.

2. Schedule

We’ll schedule a space to support your accommodations.

Up to 5 days prior to the exam date we’ll email you the scheduling details:

3. Write

On the day before your exam, check your OASIS student portal to confirm the start time and room location.

On the day of your exam:

Arrive 10 minutes early.
Bring your Brock Student ID card.

Academic Integrity Policy

Students writing exams in Student Accessibility Services are required to adhere to the Brock University – Academic Integrity Policy.

Exam time changes due to scheduling conflicts or deferrals

  1. Request approval from the Instructor to write a deferred exam with the SAS Exam Centre and provide supporting documentation.
  2. If you receive Instructor approval, forward approval to [email protected].
  3. Complete and submit the “Exam time change form”.
  4. Monitor your Brock email and OASIS for scheduling updates. OASIS will show the rescheduled date and time once rescheduled.

Note: Exam Centre requires greater than 3 business days to reschedule an exam.

Issues with accommodations

Report any issues with accommodations, equipment, or technology to exam staff immediately. If you don’t report the issue before your exam ends, we can’t verify its impact with your instructor.

Any time spent resolving the issue will be added to the end of your exam.

Online exams

Contact your instructors in advance to confirm your extra time in Brightspace and resolve any conflicts. Before the exam, check that the extra time is accurate.

You can use your assistive technology for online exams if it’s part of your accommodation plan.
