Extenuating circumstances
We understand that exceptional or extenuating circumstances may occasionally impact the ability to meet exam confirmation deadlines. If such a circumstance prevented you from meeting a deadline then visit your Case Manager during drop-in hours.
Requests for consideration are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be made at least 72-hours prior to your exam.
Extenuating circumstances may happen such as:
- Medical emergencies (serious illness or injury)
- Family emergencies (death of a close family member)
- Personal emergencies (accidents or natural disasters)
What to do if you miss a deadline
Contact your instructor.
As soon as you realize that you’ve missed an exam deadline, reach out to your instructor.
Explain your situation honestly and provide any relevant documentation if applicable.
