ISRA 2026 World Meeting Call for Submissions

The scientific program of the 2026 World Meeting aims to represent multidisciplinary research on aggressive behavior. The foundation of the scientific program will include symposia, oral paper presentations, poster sessions, and invited talks.

Invited talks will include the ISRA Presidential Address, the Scott Lifetime Achievement Award Address, the Krahé Mid-Career Award Address, the Huesmann Early Career Award Address, and two Plenary speakers. The World Meeting will also include the New Investigators Program pre-conference workshop, networking opportunities, and a meeting of members.

We invite you to register for the World Meeting and submit abstracts for symposia, oral presentations, and/or poster presentations on the World Meeting registration and submission websites. Submission instructions are provided below.

Instructions for submissions

Due February 15, 2026, 11:59 EST

Our Symposia submissions portal is now closed.

Submitting a symposium requires the proposer (organizer or “chair”) to organize multiple presentations around a central topic.  Session length will be 90 minutes.

In order to participate, the symposium organizer should provide the following information:

  1.     A general abstract of no more than 300 words,
  2.     Names and affiliations of all contributing authors,
  3.     Abstracts for individual presentations (max. 250 words for each presentation)

A symposium must consist of 3 or 4 presentations and leave approximately 15 minutes for questions. Thus, individual presentations will be 25 minutes (if there are three presentations) or 19 minutes (if there are four presentations). If a Discussant is included, individual presentations should be reduced to allow for the proposed time for the Discussant’s comments (usually no more than 5-10 minutes).

For an individual presentation within a symposium to be considered for a Lagerspetz Award, please tick the appropriate box. Presentations can be considered if the first author meets the eligibility criteria (either a student in a terminal degree program or within 2 years of having completed a terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., J.D.).

Students who are the first author and presenter on any presentation at the World Meeting can apply for a monetary award to support their travel to the World Meeting. To do so, applicants must do the following at the time they submit their abstract: (1) indicate that they wish to be considered for a travel award, (2) upload their current CV, and (3) upload a signed letter of attestation from their current graduate advisor or Department/Program Chair which confirms the applicant’s student status.

The Program Committee will review submissions. Deadline for the submission of symposia is February 15, 2026. Notifications will be sent to authors in April 2026.

Due March 15, 2026, 11:59 EST

Our Oral Presentation submissions portal is now closed.

Oral presentations will be arranged in themed panels by the program committee.  Each presentation will be 15 minutes and allow approximately 5 minutes for discussion and questions.

In order to participate, please provide the following information:

  1. An abstract of no more than 250 words,
  2. Names and affiliations of all contributing authors

For oral presentations to be considered for a Lagerspetz Award, please tick the appropriate box. Oral presentations can be considered if the first author meets the eligibility criteria (either a student in a terminal degree program or within 2 years of having completed a terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., J.D.).
