You’ll gain insights into practical strategies for various learning environments through both off-the-job and on-the-job training methods, as well as delivery and transfer of training. By assessing the costs and benefits of training initiatives, you will build a solid foundation for making informed decisions by examining various training methods and evaluation techniques. By the end, you will create and assess comprehensive training plans that align with organizational goals and drive performance improvement, preparing you to stay ahead in a rapidly changing field.

  • General computer and technology use abilities.

Technology Requirements

For in-person and online studies:
  • Laptop: Minimum Windows 10 or equivalent operating system. Recommended 8GB of RAM and at least 16 GB of free hard disk space and Wi-Fi capabilities.
Online studies only:
  • Access to reliable high-speed broadband internet access (Cable, DSL, LTE) with a minimum bandwidth of 15 Mbps is recommended.
  • Laptop must include integrated webcam and microphone.

To successfully complete your program, you will complete all components of the program. Your progress will be continuously evaluated using a variety of formative and/or summative assessments to receive a final mark. Information about these assessment methods will be provided in the Learning Management System on the first day of the program.

Intake Details

A fully asynchronous online course does not require real-time communications. Asynchronous online courses do not have the required on-campus components, including assessments. The course will have a set start and finish date and set due dates for assignments and assessments. 

This is not a self-paced course. While you don’t need to be online on a specific day or time, you are required to progress through the modules, complete all assignments, and engage on discussion boards with your peers. We recommend logging onto the course at least every other day to stay on track with the content.
