This course invites you to explore the evolving landscape of online and technology‑enhanced learning through an equity‑centred, learner‑focused lens. Across six modules, you will examine how Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) principles, Indigenous perspectives, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and anti‑oppressive pedagogies shape effective digital learning environments. Through research, reflection, and practical design tasks, you will deepen your understanding of how online spaces foster belonging, accessibility, and meaningful engagement for all learners.
Building on OCT’s professional standards and current provincial research, you will apply learning theories, ethical technology integration, and intentional design practices to create inclusive, responsive, and future‑ready online learning experiences. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped to design, facilitate, and evaluate online learning that supports diverse pathways, strengthens digital citizenship, and promotes well‑being in K–12 contexts.
