Teaching & Learning through E-Learning

Explore online and technologyenhanced learning through an equitycentred lens that integrates EDIA, weaves Indigenous perspectives, and applies inclusive design practices. Apply learning theories and intentional design to create accessible, engaging digital experiences that support diverse K–12 learners and promote wellbeing.

This course invites you to explore the evolving landscape of online and technologyenhanced learning through an equitycentred, learnerfocused lens. Across six modules, you will examine how Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) principles, Indigenous perspectives, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and antioppressive pedagogies shape effective digital learning environments. Through research, reflection, and practical design tasks, you will deepen your understanding of how online spaces foster belonging, accessibility, and meaningful engagement for all learners.

Building on OCT’s professional standards and current provincial research, you will apply learning theories, ethical technology integration, and intentional design practices to create inclusive, responsive, and futureready online learning experiences. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped to design, facilitate, and evaluate online learning that supports diverse pathways, strengthens digital citizenship, and promotes wellbeing in K–12 contexts.
