This Application Help Guide is being provided as a tool to assist you in submitting a complete and accurate application to the Consecutive Teacher Education program (TEAS). Applicants should review this document carefully as it provides important details that if missed, could significantly impact the quality of your application. Review this entire document. Some steps may apply to you that are more time sensitive.
Also, fully and carefully review the Consecutive Teacher Education website for a broader overview of general program information, essential teaching skills, admission requirements, and application details.
This is a highly competitive, professional program. Apply early to provide yourself with the time necessary to meet all application and document submission deadlines. The deadlines are firm, and no exceptions will be made. The detail, accuracy, and completeness of your application is critical to moving forward for consideration in the candidate pool.
Application fees and Casper Testing fees are non-refundable, regardless of reason.
Before you begin, please ensure the following is true:
- At the time of application, you will have 10.0 completed (with final grades) undergraduate degree credits with a minimum “B” average, equivalent to 70% (not including college transfer credits). Ensure you understand how the credit weights of your undergraduate studies convert to Brock credit weights, if they do not operate on a 0.5/1.0 credit scale.
- At the time of application for B30-Intermediate/Senior applicants, you can confirm that you will have completed (with final grades) 3 of 5 of your first teachable subjects and 2 of 3 of your second teachable subjects by December 10, 2025. See more information below and on our website.
- At the time of application, you confirm you have (1) graduated from your undergraduate degree program or (2) can provide proof by April 2026 of your current eligibility to graduate from your undergraduate degree program. We will not accept courses taken in Spring/Summer 2026.
- You understand that if you make ANY changes to your undergraduate registration after submitting your application and initial transcripts, doing so will change your application and could make you ineligible. You should discuss this with us before making any changes.
Start by choosing the program division(s) you wish to apply to
Please review the Fall 2026 General Admission Criteria to see the general academic requirements, as well as the division-specific requirements for Primary/Junior (B10) and Intermediate/Senior (B30).
For Fall 2026, (1) Primary/Junior division (offered at the Burlington Campus) and (2) Intermediate/Senior division (offered at the St. Catharines Campus) will be available on the application. Junior/Intermediate division is not available for this intake, but should return to the application for Fall 2027.
Submit your TEAS application
The TEAS application is available through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) on September 12, 2025. The application is available until December 1, 2025, but applying late will not provide you with the time necessary to meet all application requirements (see the Casper section below).
You will receive a confirmation email from OUAC shortly after submission of your application.
Brock will also send you an email to acknowledge the receipt of your application.
- The acknowledgement email from Brock will include your Brock Campus ID which you will need to set up your Brock student portal. The onus is on the applicant to check their student portal regularly as we may request additional documents, and those documents are subject to the December 10, 2025 document deadline.
- Check your SPAM/JUNK folder regularly to ensure you do not miss an email communication from Brock or OUAC.
Register for your CASPER test — Mandatory for all applicants
- In addition to meeting the minimum academic requirements and division-specific teachable subject requirements, all applicants must complete the mandatory Casper Test as part of their application package. Immediately after applying, you must review and select a testing date to complete your Casper assessment. Apply early and book your Casper Test immediately.
- To account for identity verification and payment processing timelines, ensure that you register for your Casper Test at least 3 business days before your preferred test date and time. Students should be prepared to pick an alternate test date, should their preferred test date be full. Test dates fill quickly. Last-minute bookings are not recommended. The onus is on the student to apply early enough to book a Casper Test date that works for them.
- There are only five available testing dates. No other testing dates will be available.
- If you do not complete the Casper Test on one of the five dates provided, your file will be considered incomplete and will not move forward in the candidate pool. See our website for more information on Casper including testing dates, registering for your test, and the document/technical requirements for completing the test.
Submit forms and documents — All documents due December 10, 2025
Official Transcripts (Mandatory for all applicants)
- Order your official transcripts for all Ontario postsecondary institutions you attend(ed) as soon as you submit your TEAS application, using OUAC’s TEAS Transcript Request Form (TRF). You must use the “IMMEDIATE” option when ordering this transcript. Brock students and Brock graduates who apply to Brock University do not need to order or send Brock transcripts.
- Transcripts not ordered through OUAC TRF can be uploaded through your Brock Student Portal. Uploaded transcripts must include your full name, the name of the institution attended, and the grades awarded. English translations must be included, where applicable. Documents the student uploads are considered UNOFFICIAL. While these will allow us to begin assessing your application, you will still be required to have an OFFICIAL transcript(s) sent to Brock directly from the issuing institution, should you be extended an offer. Brock students and Brock graduates who apply to Brock University do not need to order or send Brock transcripts
World Education Services (WES) Course-by-Course Evaluation (order immediately)
- If you have completed undergraduate courses, an undergraduate degree, a master’s degree or doctorate degree from outside of Canada, a WES Course-by-Course Evaluation is mandatory. The only exceptions are credentials earned in the United States (USA). Order this immediately as it can take several weeks for WES to process your request, and it is due by December 10, 2025, with all other documents and submissions. Carefully review the Applicants with International Credentials section of our website for more information.
- If you have a previous but recent WES course-by-course assessment and your Brock student portal doesn’t show a space to upload it, email [email protected] and we will create a space for you to do so. If you are ordering a new course-by-course WES evaluation, you can request that WES send your results directly to Brock University. Results must arrive at Brock by the December 10, 2025 deadline so please confirm with WES that this is possible.
Teachable Subject Clarification Form (Mandatory for B30 applicants)
Applicants applying for the Intermediate/Senior (B30) division must meet the requirements for their teachable subject(s). We cannot pre-assess your courses, teachable subjects, or credentials prior to submitting your application. For more information on teachable subject requirements and what may satisfy them, review our Intermediate/Senior academic requirements and FAQs. In addition, you may also refer to our Teachable Subject Clarification Form information sheet which explains what to include on the form.
- A minimum of three out of five first teaching subject credits, and a minimum of two out of three second teaching subject credits must be completed (with final grades) by December 10, 2025.
- Teachable subject credits not completed by the application deadline must show as ‘in progress’ on the transcript submitted at the time of application. It is your responsibility to ensure that courses that are ‘in progress’ are clearly marked as such on the transcript sent by your institution for them to be considered for admission.
English Proficiency Test score (if required)
- If English is not your first language, you must present proof of English language proficiency. Learn more: https://brocku.ca/admissions/english-language-proficiency-requirements-for-teachers/
Any other supporting documents (if required)
- Check your Brock student portal daily. Brock may request additional documents. We will specifically request this by posting it as a document “owing for assessment” on your Brock student portal.
- We may also email you. Check your email daily, including your spam/junk folder. If you need to upload a document (ex. WES Evaluation, English Proficiency Test score etc.) and there is no upload button available on your Brock student portal to do so, email [email protected] immediately. The onus is on the student to make this request well in advance of the document deadline.
Special Admission Consideration Form (optional)
- This form is optional to submit for those who would like to self-disclose additional information for special consideration of their application. Learn more about submitting a request for Special Consideration
Next Steps
Check your Brock student portal, your OUAC portal, and the email you provided on your application regularly. Check your junk/spam folders also. We will be communicating with applicants often over the months to come and will provide important updates or request new information/documentation from you that may be required to assess your application.
- Those who submit an incomplete application will be notified in mid-December that their application will not move forward in the candidate pool.
- Those who are deemed inadmissible because they do not meet admission requirements will also receive communication as early as mid-December through early January.
- Offers of admission will be made in early February 2026. Those who are provided with an offer of admission must accept their offer no later than March 10, 2026, on their OUAC portal.
- Those who are admissible but do not meet the competitive score range for an offer will be placed on a waiting list. Should space become available after March 10, 2026, Admissions will contact students on the waiting list, based on their admission score.
Email [email protected] if you have questions not addressed through our website or this guide.
A final note from the Admissions team
We urge all interested applicants to apply early to meet the application requirements by the published deadlines. Due to the very high volume of applications to the Consecutive Teacher Education program, inquiries regarding your application should be made early to allow for reasonable response times of up to 3 business days by Admissions.
Students are ultimately responsible for ensuring their application is complete and that deadlines can be met. Deadlines will not be extended under any circumstances. This is to ensure that the fairness and integrity of the admissions process is maintained.
Application fees and Casper Test fees are non-refundable.
