Application Help Guide

This Application Guide is a tool to assist you in submitting a complete and accurate application to the Brock Consecutive Teacher Education program (TEAS). Applicants should review this document carefully as it provides important details that if missed could significantly impact your application.

This Guide does not replace the information on our Consecutive Teacher Education website, which offers a full overview of program information, admission requirements and application details and deadlines.

This is a highly competitive, professional program. Apply early to provide yourself with the time necessary to meet application and document deadlines. The deadlines are firm, and no exceptions will be made.

Application fees and Casper Testing fees are non-refundable, regardless of reason.

Before you begin, please ensure the following is true:

  • At the time of application, you have 10.0 completed undergraduate credits. College transfer credits do not count towards to the 10.0 credits. The 10.0 credits are complete with final grades showing on the transcript. Ensure you understand how the credit weights of your undergraduate studies convert to Brock credit weights, if they do not operate on Brock’s 0.5/1.0 credit scale. Remember, a credit is not the same as a course. We require a minimum of 10.0 credits.
  • At the time of application, if you are applying to B20 Junior/Intermediate, you confirm you have completed 2.0 of 3.0 teachable credits (with final grades on your transcript) and/or if you are applying to B30 Intermediate/Senior, you confirm you have completed 3.0 of 5.0 teachable credits (with final grades on your transcript) for your first teachable subject and 2.0 of 3.0 teachable credits (with final grades on your transcript) for your second teachable subject. You also confirm that the remainder of your required teachable subjects show as “In progress” on the transcript you are submitting with your application.
  • At the time of application, you confirm you (1) have already graduated with an acceptable undergraduate degree or (2) will complete your studies and meet undergraduate degree requirements by April 2027 and can provide proof of your undergraduate degree conferred by June 30, 2027.
  • You understand making ANY changes to your undergraduate registration after submitting your application could make you ineligible. You should contact us first.

Start by choosing the program division(s) you wish to apply to

First, review the May 2027 Entry: General Admission Criteria

Next, review the division-specific requirements.

Where programs will be delivered

Primary/Junior (B10) and Junior/Intermediate (B20) programs

  • These divisions will be offered at both the St. Catharines and Burlington campuses. Students should be prepared to study at either campus. As space is limited at each location, campus assignments will be determined by the Teacher Education program. Students can expect to be notified of their campus assignment by the end of February.
  • *Exception: The B20 program with a French teachable will only be offered at the Burlington campus.

Intermediate/Senior (B30) program

  • This division will only be offered at the Burlington campus.

Submit your May 2027 TEAS Application by November 2, 2026

The TEAS application opens at the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) on September 10, 2026. Apply early!

Do not apply late in the application window as you will require time to meet all application requirements including arranging for transcripts, ordering and gathering other documents, submitting the mandatory Teachable Subject Clarification form (B20/B30 only), and completing the mandatory Casper test.

You will receive a confirmation email from OUAC shortly after submitting your application.

Brock will also send you an email to acknowledge the receipt of your application.

  • The acknowledgement email from Brock will include your Brock Campus ID which you will need to set up your Brock student portal.
  • Check your OUAC and Brock student portal regularly, and your email, including your SPAM/JUNK folder regularly, to ensure you do not miss an important communication.

Register for your CASPER test — Mandatory for all applicants

In addition to meeting the minimum academic requirements and division-specific teachable subject requirements, all applicants must complete the mandatory Casper Test as part of their application package. The last test date available is November 5, 2026. Immediately after applying, review and select a testing date to complete your Casper test. Test dates fill quickly.

  • To account for identity verification and payment processing timelines, ensure that you register for your Casper test at least 3 business days before your preferred test date and time.  Students should be prepared to pick an alternate test date, should their preferred test date be full. The onus is on the student to apply early enough to book a Casper Test date that works for them. No additional dates will be scheduled.
  • If you do not complete the Casper Test on one of the dates offered, your application will be considered incomplete and will not move forward. See our website for more information on Casper including testing dates, registering for your test, requesting accommodation (4 weeks in advance of your test date), and the document/technical requirements for completing the test.

Submit all required forms and documents by November 9, 2026

Official Transcripts (Mandatory for all applicants)

  • Order your official transcripts for all Ontario postsecondary institutions you attend(ed) as soon as you submit your TEAS application, using OUAC’s TEAS Transcript Request Form (TRF). You must use the “IMMEDIATE” option when ordering this transcript. Brock students and Brock graduates who apply to Brock University do not need to order or send Brock transcripts.
  • Transcripts not ordered through OUAC TRF can be uploaded through your Brock Student Portal. Uploaded transcripts must include your full name, the name of the institution attended, and the grades awarded. English translations must be included, where applicable. Documents the student uploads are considered UNOFFICIAL. While these will allow us to begin assessing your application, you will still be required to have an OFFICIAL transcript(s) sent to Brock directly from the issuing institution, should you be extended an offer.
  • Brock students and Brock graduates who apply to Brock University do not need to order or send Brock transcripts

World Education Services (WES) Course-by-Course Evaluation

If you have completed undergraduate courses and/or an undergraduate degree, Master’s or a Doctorate degree from outside of Canada, a WES Course-by-Course Evaluation is mandatory. Exception: Students with a credential(s) from the USA do not require a WES Evaluation.

  • Order this immediately as it can take several weeks for WES to process your request and the evaluation must be received by Brock by November 9, 2026. There are no extensions permitted. Request that WES send your results directly to Brock University. We recommend you contact WES to ask about processing times PRIOR to applying, to ensure both you and WES can meet the deadline.
  • If you have a previous but recent WES course-by-course evaluation and your Brock portal doesn’t provide a place to upload it, email [email protected] and we’ll create a space for you to do so.

Teachable Subject Clarification Form (Mandatory for B20 and B30 applicants)

Applicants must submit this form, located in their Brock student portal by the November 9 deadline or their application will not move forward.

Refer to our information sheet for more detailed information.

  • General guidelines for what undergraduate courses may satisfy teachable subjects can be found here: B20 and B30. Review these PRIOR to applying to Brock.
  • We cannot pre-assess your teachable subjects, or credentials prior to submitting your application.
  • After you apply, if you encounter issues opening the Teachable Subject Clarification Form in your student portal, follow these instructions.

English Proficiency Test score (if required)

Any other supporting documents (if required)

  • Check your Brock student portal daily. Brock may request additional documents. We will specifically request this by posting it as a document “Owing for Assessment” on your Brock student portal. Any remaining documents owing there must be submitted by the November 9, 2026 deadline.
  • Check your email daily, including your spam/junk folder. If you need to upload a document to your student portal (ex. WES Evaluation, English Proficiency Test score etc.) and there is no upload button available on your portal, email [email protected]. The onus is on the student to request this well in advance of the document deadline.

Special Admission Consideration Form (optional)
