2027 Application Cycle
The first cohort under the new 3-term, 12-month model are expected to begin studies in May 2027. The application should open on September 10, 2026 and close on November 2, 2026. This website will be updated with application details and admission criteria by late August 2026. Please note that Admissions does not pre-assess applications to the Consecutive Teacher Education program.
Professional Programs
Consecutive Teacher Education
A “consecutive” program provides professional education to candidates who have already completed a university degree. The next intake is May 2027. The application is open at OUAC from September 10 to November 2, 2026.
Technological Teacher Education
The next entry point for the Technological Teacher Education program is May 2027. The application will open November 3, 2026 and close January 8, 2027.
Continuing Teacher Education (Additional Qualification)
For already certified teachers; Additional Qualification (AQ) courses can qualify you to teach in another division/subject area and help you improve your current teaching skills.
