Therapeutic Recreation

Are you passionate about advocating for people of all abilities to live a life of meaning?

A Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation offers you the opportunity to turn your passion into a rewarding career.

Our courses in assessment, program design and inclusive practices are enhanced by experiential opportunities within community and health-care settings serving children and youth, people with mental health challenges, individuals with developmental disabilities and older adults. A capstone 560-hour required internship serves as a culminating experience for students, integrating academic knowledge with hands-on experience in settings across Canada.

Students are eligible to apply for certification with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) upon graduation.
