Students studying in Brock University’s English Language Programs will have the opportunity to explore Canadian culture through optional activities and special trips. Students will make valuable connections with Canadian students, staff and local community residents through their involvement in university and community events while strengthening their English language skills.




Great Local activities include:
- Participate in local festivals such as the Niagara Wine Festival, Niagara Ice wine Festival, Niagara Jazz Festival, Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival and the Winter Festival of Lights
- Visit the local farmers market and experience fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables
- Explore the great outdoors by hiking the Bruce Trail or Niagara Escarpment
- Visit the Port Dalhousie Pier Marina and Lakeside Park Beach
- Experience various social and cultural events
- Join fellow Canadian students in campus events, programs and volunteer opportunities
- Cheer on the Brock University Badgers at various sporting events and experience hockey, Canada’s national winter sport by cheering on the Niagara Ice Dogs
- Experience local theatre at the Shaw Festival and the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts
- Take an excursion to one of many world-class tourist destinations such as the CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake
